Which point cloud formats does ShareLAS support?

LAS and LAZ (compressed LAS) — the standard formats produced by drone mapping and survey tools such as Pix4D, DJI Terra, Agisoft Metashape, and RealityCapture, as well as terrestrial LiDAR scanners.

Do my clients need to install software to view a point cloud?

No. A ShareLAS link opens a streamable 3D point cloud viewer (built on Potree) directly in any modern browser, on desktop, tablet, or phone. No downloads, no plugins, no login.

How large can my point cloud files be?

The free plan covers surveys up to 200 MB. Paid plans store multi-gigabyte projects with up to 100 GB of storage. Every upload is converted into a streaming octree, so even huge scans open in seconds instead of downloading whole.

Is ShareLAS free?

Yes — the free plan lets you convert and share a point cloud up to 200 MB with a 30-day link, no credit card required. Basic ($12/month) and Pro ($39/month) add more storage, longer-lived links, and unlimited views.

How long do share links stay online?

Links live 30 days on the free plan and 90 days on Basic; Pro links never expire. You can delete a link at any time from your dashboard, and it stops working immediately.
